8th

Paddling the row boat as though it was a canoe, they circumnavigated the lake, only occasionally becoming entangled in the water lilies.  It was a lovely ending to A’s 8th birthday.  Even though she missed her Daddy, her friends and her old Seattle home, she embraced this new wonderful experience and delighted in our afternoon garden tea party with grandparents.  Hiccups induced by cartwheels  after devouring cake, jelly and ice-cream didn’t diminish her happiness.
